At present, the traditional manual arc or gas welding is adopted for welding strips by many facories in metal tube mills, steel joist mills and continuousstrip punching/ processing industries.As a result, the welding joint is uneven, misplaced and thus ends up with a poor welding quality. But what is worst, the welding ridge is as thick as 3-5mmfor 2-3mmmetal bands for example. Unfortunately, this increases theimpact to the production line when drawing the strips and decreases the service life of the unit and potentially caused the shut down of the production line accordingly. Moreover, the poor manual welding tends to break down at the welding joint.
